Winery

Savina Winery is located along the Mendoza River basin, which enriches the soil with the ability to produce wines that are rich in aromas, colors, and mouthfeel, offering a unique experience with each sip. Lunlunta, sitting at an elevation of 850 meters above sea level, is an area renowned for its Malbec wines: deep and robust, they also boast such smooth and polished tannins that they have earned widespread acclaim.

For the winemaker, the paramount importance lies in highlighting the terroir of Lunlunta and the human capital’s ability to craft outstanding wines that vie for a place in the taste preferences of connoisseurs everywhere.

History

The winery opened in 2019 and has a production capacity of up to 360,000 liters. The Finca Savina Winery team is led by Guadalupe Savina, granddaughter of Abelardo, who is primarily responsible for and the creator of each of the winery’s wines. They specialize in wines produced with grapes from their own vineyard in Lunlunta, Maipú, where they cultivate Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Bonarda.

Terroir

Lunlunta is a region with such a strong wine identity that it gained prominence as early as the late 19th century. Located on the north bank of the Mendoza River, east of Perdriel, it is formed by the river’s alluvial terraces at around 850 meters above sea level. The lower terraces, known as Bajo Lunlunta, are very stony, while the higher ones are sandier. This area is renowned for its Malbec wines: deep and muscular, they also offer such round and polished tannins that they have earned a reputation. The winery uses a blend of these two soil types, giving our wines an incredible organoleptic richness. You’ll be able to appreciate what we mean when we offer a tasting.
