Shipping Policy
Effective Date: May 2026 · Last Updated: May 2026
This Shipping Policy governs the delivery of orders placed through unique-wines.com, operated by A&R Enterprises of Manasota LLC. By placing an order, you agree to the terms set forth below.
1. Legal Compliance — Alcohol Shipments
The sale and shipment of alcoholic beverages is strictly regulated. All orders are shipped in full compliance with applicable federal regulations and the laws of the destination state. We only ship to states where direct-to-consumer alcohol delivery is permitted by law.
By placing an order, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 21 years of age.
- The importation of alcohol is not prohibited in your state, county, city, or locality.
- An adult (21+) will be present to sign for the delivery.
We reserve the right to cancel any order if shipment to the destination is not legally permissible. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.
2. Shipping Carriers
We ship via FedEx and UPS, both of which are licensed to carry alcohol shipments to eligible states. The carrier used for your specific order will be determined at our discretion based on your delivery location and product availability.
3. Delivery Timeframes
Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days of payment confirmation. Once shipped, estimated transit times are:
- Standard delivery: 2–5 business days (depending on destination)
- Estimated window: Most orders arrive within 48–72 hours of shipment
These are estimates only. Actual delivery times may vary due to carrier delays, weather conditions, or holiday schedules. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier once the package has been handed over.
4. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on your delivery address, package weight, and the rates set by FedEx and UPS. The final shipping cost will be shown before you complete your purchase. Shipping costs are non-refundable except in cases of our error.
5. Adult Signature Required
All alcohol shipments require a signature from an adult aged 21 or older at the time of delivery. The carrier will not leave packages unattended. If no adult is available:
- The carrier will make additional delivery attempts per their standard policy.
- After unsuccessful attempts, the package may be held at a carrier facility for pickup or returned to us.
- If the package is returned to us due to failed delivery, re-shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility and no refund will be issued for the original order.
7. Risk of Loss
Risk of loss and title for all products purchased on our Site passes to you upon delivery to the carrier. We are not liable for packages lost or damaged by the carrier after pickup; however, we will make reasonable efforts to assist you in filing a claim with the carrier.
8. Temperature and Seasonal Conditions
Fine wine can be sensitive to extreme temperatures during transit. While we take measures to package our products appropriately, we cannot guarantee specific temperature conditions during shipment. In periods of extreme heat or cold, we may recommend adding an ice pack or heat pack to your order (available at checkout) or delaying shipment at your request.
9. Undeliverable Packages
If a package is returned to us as undeliverable (wrong address, refused delivery, or repeated failed delivery attempts), we will contact you. Re-shipment is subject to additional shipping charges. If you choose not to have the order re-shipped, a refund will not be issued as all sales are final.
